I was surprised to find these little pieces of pixel art made with small stone tiles all over Provence. In fact there were so many that it stopped being fun looking for them.
I counted 10 in Avignon alone, positioned from old stone arches, street corners to the old papal palace of Avignon.

I thought there was some coordination behind this because I also saw something similar in Ljubljana. I did some googling, it just never occurred to me to search for "space invaders".
This art can also be seen in Ljubljana on many locations. I'm still wondering what's the story behind these ...

The space-invaders.com website says that it's all made by one person that travels to different cities and puts these icons on the walls. It also has pictures of those from Ljubljana.
